Peacocks

Peacock is also known as peafowl and they usually considered as male while peahen as female and peachicks as young peacocks. It is 1963, Peacock was declared as the National Bird of India. They can be available in variety of colors. They are beautiful birds and very good to watch. Because of its gorgeous appearance, the peacock has long been famous outside of its native countries of Southern Asia and Malaysia, and was kept for centuries by people first in China and then in Europe.

The India Blue Peacock is commonly kept and bred in captivity by people across America and around the world. They can live up to fifty years and hence can be lifetime companion of yours. However, keeping them as a house pet should be avoidable because they emit a high screech that sounds like a woman screaming. Your neighbors or city ordinances may prohibit keeping this lovely creature. Therefore, they should be kept in farms with proper shelter. Dogs, raccoons and some owl will prey on peacocks. Peafowl are omnivorous and eat ticks, termites, ants, locusts, mice, plant parts, flower petals, seed heads, scorpions and other arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians.kinds of peacocks.

We have seen hundreds of peacocks dancing with its beautiful feathers wide open. It's not just because it's raining or the peacock is happy; it is actually trying to attract its partner for mating.
