Parrots:
Buying a parrot as a pet is really very entertaining and joyful
experience. However, it’s not easy to understand parrot behavior. Some
parrots are very adjusting while others are stubborn and moody. There
are variety of species of parrots such as eclectus, Senegal , Amazon,
African Grey, Cockatoos,
Cockatiel, Princess Parrot,
King Parrot, Regents Parrot,
Superb Parrot and many more.
Eclectus are a remarkable bird and ideally suited as a pet. When
taught properly, they are capable of cognitive behavior from a very
young age. They can easily be trained to communicate with humans. |
| Also, the Regents parrots can easily be
tamed and are very sociable. Like the Superb parrot, the
Regents possess the ability to produce delightful
whistling noises and to a small degree, imitate the
human voice. Cockatiels as pets are darlings in the
house. Cockatiel behavior can be groomed and almost
perfected by good. The average life span of a parrot is
around 20-40 years. Therefore, they can be lifetime
companions of yours. A parrot should not be feed by only
birdseed. Birdseed alone can cause malnutrition,
illness, and shortened life span. Their diet should also
include variety of vegetables (carrots, corn broccoli,
spinach, collared greens, cauliflower, etc.) pelleted or
seed diet. |

Doves and Pigeon:
The major difference between Doves and Pigeon is their size. Doves are
smaller and sleeker with pointed tails, while Pigeons are larger and
heavier than Doves with basically rounded tails. Doves and pigeons,
domesticated for many centuries and used in the past as sacrifices to
gods, raised for food, carrying messages and kept as a pet. Now a day,
tame pigeons are still used to carry messages, but more commonly used
for racing, meat, scientific experiments,
hunting and used as pets. The white
dove generally releases in marriage ceremonies. Dove and pigeon can be

Ducks: Ducks can
become good pets if you acquire them when they still are ducklings.
Adult ducks or wild ducks will not make good pets. Ducks are usually
tolerant to people if they rose among them and can be very friendly to
kids. Ducks are highly social animals and they need other ducks to live
with. Two is the absolute minimum, and 3 or more is better. They can
live up to 20 years. Ducks can be feed on weeds, vegetables, grains etc.
You can also give them the left over food of your dinner but that should
not be too much spicy. They require a constant supply of fresh water,
and that should be enough deep that ducks can submerge their heads.
Mallard ducks are best examples of pets. |

to watch. They can live up to fifty years and hence can be lifetime

avoidable because they emit a high screech that sounds like a woman
screaming. Your neighbors or city ordinances may prohibit keeping this
lovely creature. Therefore, they should be kept in farms with proper
